Week 20 Features

Our spotlight photo this week was taken by  Grease Bucket Photography. I love this bright black and white photo. Makes me think of bright, warm, and carefree summer days. It’s so easy to see “bright” in children because they often have such a bright outlook on the world and people around them. Children are so refreshing in that way.

Week 21: Free

I am taking this week to give you all another free week! You can capture ANYthing you’d like. We haven’t had one since earlier on in the year so I think we are about due. I think it’s good to get away from themes here and there and just shoot whatever we want. Of course we’re always keeping light in mind when we shoot – so maybe you can do something with light you haven’t tried yet? Sometimes we get so focused on the themes we forget about all the other things that go into a photograph. And remember that our themes don’t have to be followed to a “T” – you can stretch them any which way you like. Or you can choose to not follow them at all. I am not big on rules. I just want this project to be fun and hopefully a learning and growing experience for us all. And of course, I hope that through this project we are all noticing light and how it affects things more and more.

Instead of my normal P52 Banner this week, I’m sharing another photo from my little weekend getaway to Liwa Oasis. This photo makes me smile. :)

Week 20: Bright

Over the weekend we took a little trip out to Liwa Oasis. It was breathtaking! Dunes that just went on and on as far as you could see.

Week 19 Features

This week our theme/inspiration was Drama. For our spotlight this week, I landed on this gorgeous photo taken by Glitter & Co. She definitely created drama in her photo here – the dark, woodsy location is beautiful and perfect. I just love the tones in this image, too. Very lovely shot! Congrats!

Week 18 Features

What an amazing set of perspectives we had this week. So many different views and subjects. Just goes to show we all really do have such a different perspective on the world and how we take photographs. It was a great week!

There are so many ways to show and create drama in our photographs. Light, obviously, being one of them. Of course, you can do this in any way that you want, as always. Can’t wait to see what you all do this week – I know it will be great!
