One last get-a-way | Kirkham Hot Springs

As you may or may not know, we are gearing up for a HUGE move! I will be out of this house here in Mountain Home in less than a week! Yikes! By early August, we will be settling into our new home in Abu Dhabi, UAE (United Arab Emerites). I am so excited to experience yet another culture. So, this last little trip was kind of the perfect way to say good-bye to Southern Idaho. Not everyone loves it, but, even being someone from beautiful Northern Idaho, I still see the beauty here and I will miss it here!

So, over the weekend, we took a spur of the moment trip with a fellow photographer friend of mine and her family. We drove up to Kirkham Hot Springs for some fun in the water, some bbq’d hotdogs, and of course lots of picture-taking.

The drive was absolutely gorgeous – a nice change of scenery from Mountain Home (think, tumbleweeds and rocks!) – and the springs were amazing. My kids absolutely LOVED playing in the natural “bath tubs”. They couldn’t get enough of it!

My friend and I took waaaaay too many pictures (is there such a thing??!! hehehe), but it was so fun to get out and take pictures with someone who loves it just as much as I do!

Top photo: Our poor Jakey-poo couldn’t join us at the springs – so he was stuck hanging out at the sign while we had all the fun! I’m sure he was happy to not be left at home, though. ;)
